How do fruits and veggies make you gain weight?

Recently (about a month ago) i decided to switch from junk food to healthy foods. being that im a picky eater i ate lettuce, tomatoes, mushrooms, cantaloupe, apples, cherries, mango's, plums and apricots. I didnt change the amount i ate, just changed what i ate. i did not add sugar or salt, yet i gained 10lbs in less than a week... i stuck to this diet hoping it was water weight or something but it hasnt gone away 4 weeks later. has this happened to anyone else? and can anyone offer up an explanation???
